🧾 Ingredients
Produce
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
Proteins
- 2 packages #pork baby back ribs
Pantry & Dry Goods
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 can #dr-pepper
- 1 can (5 oz) #chipotle peppers in adobo
- 1/3 cup #brown-mustard
- 1 tbsp white vinegar
🔪 Instructions
- Marinade: Simmer the brown sugar, Dr Pepper, chipotles, mustard, vinegar, and garlic in a medium saucepan until thick and reduced, about 20 minutes. Cool completely, then split it into two containers and refrigerate one for later.
- Lay the ribs on a large foil-lined baking sheet and brush them all over, both sides, with the first half of the marinade. Cover with foil and refrigerate 8 hours.
- Heat the oven to 275°F. Bake the ribs, still covered, for 2 hours.
- Uncover and raise the oven to 300°F. Brush on a thick layer of the reserved sauce and bake 30-40 minutes more, brushing on more sauce partway through.
- Keep cooking until the ribs are fork tender, then slice and serve.
